Singer-songwriter Jessica Heine takes stock of where she is within today's chaotic world, by accepting her own privilege on her first new work since 2019's Goodbye Party - which saw support from radio in Kamloops to NYC. She acknowledges the noise from "so much being said these days", but also knows that without talking through our collective pains, "it sleeps like a volcano". This song may not have the solutions, but it sets up Build Again, her upcoming album, to highlight the issues she resolves to find happiness within. "There are not always easy solutions," Heine says. "This song, 'Burning Bridges', is an attempt to sort through chaos."
